Khumi Children’s Village is a nonprofit organization. Our main purpose is to provide support to orphans, vulnerable children and to needy people. The name Khumi (cumi) comes from the Bible in Mark 5:41 where it says;
“And he took the little girl by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Little girl, I say unto you, arise.
Our goal is to lift up the children so they can “arise” and have hope – a living, viable, and valuable future. Our founders are Elias and Iness Simwawa who are extending love and kindness to the orphans and underprivileged persons in Kitwe, Zambia, Africa.

We provide child care and support beyond meals and education services.
